Bulldogs couldn’t post a shutout but come up victorious

With 7:43 left in the game the Bulldogs lead 31-0, capping a 92-yard drive with a 2-yard run by Aaron Correa.

The Bulldogs will be going for thier first shutout of the season.

McHi leads 24-0 with thre quarters in the book.

McHi’s Miguel Villarreal recovered a fumble at the Memorial 16-yard lead that eventually led to a 1-yard TD run by Manny Udor.

McHi QB Adrian Leal leads all rushers with 75 yards.

Memorial QB Jesse Ramos, who is listed as a WR on the roster, has completed 8 of 11 passes for 89 yards.

Memorial has moved the ball between the 20s but has not been able to get inside the red zone. The Mustangs have 178 total yards. McHi has 162 yards.

McHi’s best defense has been its offense. McHi controlled the clock in the second quarter, keeping the Mustangs’ offense off the field.

Chris Metzger rcovered the fumble that led to the Udor 20 yard TD.

The Bulldogs recovered a Memorial fumble at the 20 and then handed the ball off to Manny Udor for a 20-yard score.

McHi has come alive in the second quarter, scoing all of its points in the second frame.

McHi leads 17-0 at the half.

After looking stagnant to start the game, the Bulldogs have been able to keep the chains moving during their last two drives of the first half.

They have had back-to-back drives of that chewed up the clock. The first drive was 75 yards that ended in a touchdown for a 7-0 lead.

McHi followed that with a 64-yard drive that ended in 23-yard FG by Brandon Rock.

The Billdogs lead 10-0 with 1:40 left in the first half.

With 7:23 left in the second quarter Bulldogs QB Adrian Leal rushed for a 16-yard run to give McHi a 7-0 lead.

His fake pitch had the Mustangs fooled.

With 11:05 left in the second quarter K John Kowalski missed a 42-yard FG attempt.

The Mustangs have been solid against the run, holding McHi to only 10 yards rushing in the first quarter. The Mustangs were also helped in the opening quarter by three dropped Bulldogs’ passes.

 McHi has only one first down and only 5 total yards of offense.
