Mireles was the 2007 Newcomer of the Year in soccer and is a member of the U-17 US national team. He was invited to attend school in Florida to train but returned home because he was home sick. Last week he became the team’s kicker and now is a starter at RB because of injuries to the Pirates backfield. Bill Pate Stadium TacosOctober 26th, 2007, 5:04 pm by Peter RasmussenThis is my third year that I have been covering football games at Bill Pate Stadium in Hidalgo and one of the most enjoyable aspects about coming here is the fajita tacos the booster club sells. They are really good, right off the grill with not-so-caliente salsa. I can’t tell you how they compare to other stadiums because I have never had tacos at another stadium, but these are good, almost worth the trip of coming to Hidalgo. Game is 24 minutes from start. |
