With the season winding down here are some randomn thoughts about the last couple of months:
McHI = great team and hopefullly history … South’s Bianca Torre is crazy good … Hidalgo post Victoria Gonzalez’s 50 points awesome feat no matter how you look at it … Mission Veterans is undefeated in district. I was worng on that one … Another prediction I was wrong on was Rivera finishing first in District 32-5A …. How crazy is that District 32-5A race. Does anyone want it?… Santa Rosa had the biggest turn around … Roma became a player … McHi post Andi Garza has the fundementals all players should have. … Rowe-Donna provided the best finish of any game I saw this year … Coaches who care about their team and call in their stats and scores … Coaches who don’t care enough … Rachel Carmona might be the best coach in the Valley… Hidalgo fans might be the craziest and most supportive … Axis of Evil thats hilarious. I am not sure the President was right when he said it and I’m not sure it belongs in girls basketball. Clever but seriously its not that serious.

Pete, after us getting after you and the monitor for not covering enough girl’s basketball, you started to get a little better. but come lately, you’ve again, slacked off. hopefully some of these playoff games will get some coverage. not just one or two, but all the playoff games. football is not the only sport that deserves coverage.
Carmona, the best valley coach? Would you like to elaborate? I’ve got two names: Coach Casso & Coach Zamarippa. Not saying Carmona is not a good coach, but she’s not the best coach.
You should really look into the stats coming from Hidalgo. I’m not talking about the points, but everything else.

Torre is good but not that good. Its starting to be more hype than anything else. Andi does not have good one on one defense which is the reason why Carroll beat Mchi by 20. Aside from that..Mchi is good. Hidalgo is becoming overrated.
