I ran across Baseball America’s Top 10 baseball movies of all time and it got me thinking what were my favorites were.
Here is a list of my favorite baseball movies of all time.
1, Bull Durham (I actually met the director (Ron Shelton) of the movie in college. Funny movie and gives prospective of minor league life.)
2, Field of Dreams
3, Major League
4, The Sandlot (I don’t know how many times I’ve seen this one).
5, 61* (I know this was not on the big screen but I really liked this movie).
Let me know what your favorites are.
Justin Timberlake will star in a baseball movie that will use the Corpus Christi Hooks as the back drop. Read the story here.
On a side note: Thanks Paul for asking about Kingston. He’s a little crazy but he’s doing great.

Bull Durum, CLASSIC Baseball Movie- I love the scene about lolligaglers. Another great sports movie by the same director is TINCUP- I know it isn’t baseball, but its golf and thats a year round sport. Great topic Peter!

A great baseball movie that rarely gets mentioned is “The Bingo Long All Stars and Motor Kings”. It has mostly a black cast but it stars Billy D Williams, James Earl Jones and Richard Pryor.
